This is another great review of the R3 Unicycle. In this review He touches on the differences to look for in the unicycles. These come in different flavors and are also known as: AirWheel, SBU (Self balancing unicycle), SoloWheel, MonoWheel, Ninebot or Twin Tires.
Overall Specs Summary:
- Fully charges in 60 mins
- Waterproof / Resisent IP65: (puddles shouldn’t be a issue)
- Max speed 14 MPH
- 15 Miles on charge
- Unit Weight 23LBS
- Max user weight 250 LBs
- Build in LED lights and blue tooth speaker
- Comes with heavy duty foot peddles
- Training wheels (BIG plus in the learning process)
We like that it has the built in blue tooth option, which allows you to connect to your smart phone and stream your music while riding (very nice). He also touches on the build quality of the unit, its motor and tire.
Note: This unicycle does come with inflatable wheels which means there is always a chance for a flat tire. The reviewer also jumps into something you should look out for when riding these unicycles “bruising”. If you are someone new to these scooters then expect a lot of bumps in the learning process. On the plus side you will get a workout like no other, so stick with it
This is a great review and a must watch for anyone interested in these units:
Overall a great in-depth hands on review of a self balancing unicycle scooter. TONs of fun to ride, steeper learning curve than the 2-wheel scooter but definitely worth it.
